Micronization method: the method of micronization can be used in the production process of jet micronizer or micronizer/classifier, that is, coarse wax is gradually broken into microparticles after fierce collision with each other at high speed, and then collected by centrifugal force and blown away under weightlessness. This is the current application of more manufacturing methods

What are the common use methods of polymer wax?

1. Melting method: the solvent is heated and melted under a closed, high-pressure container, and then discharge under appropriate cooling conditions to obtain the finished product; the disadvantage is that the quality is not easy to control, the operating cost is high and dangerous, and some waxes are not suitable for this method.

2. Emulsion method: fine and round particles can be obtained, which is suitable for water-based systems, but the added surfactant will affect the water resistance of the coating film.

3. Dispersion method: add wax to tree wax/solution, and use ball mill, drum or other dispersion equipment to disperse; the disadvantage is that it is difficult to obtain high-quality products and the cost is high.

4. Micronization method: The micronization method can adopt the production process of jet micronization machine or micronization/classifier, that is, the coarse wax is gradually broken into microparticles after fierce collision between each other at high speed, and then collected by centrifugal force and blown away under weightlessness. This is a manufacturing method that is currently used more. Although the use of polyethylene wax a lot, but still to micronized wax for more, and on the market a wide range of micronized wax, and each manufacturer production process are also different, making the factory micronized wax particle size distribution, relative molecular mass, density, melting point, hardness and other properties are some differences. The manufacture of polyethylene wax generally includes high-pressure and low-pressure polymerization methods. Among them, polyethylene wax prepared by high-pressure method has branched chains with low density and melting temperature, while low-pressure method can produce linear wax with low specific gravity. Polyethylene wax has various densities. For example, for non-polar PE wax prepared by low-pressure method, those with low density (low branched chain and high crystallinity) are usually harder, it has better wear resistance and scar resistance, but is slightly inferior in slip and reduced friction coefficient.

Polymer wax has developed into a new type of functional materials, and the functionalization of organic polymer powder is also becoming a research hotspot. The preparation, application and in-depth development of polymer powder will certainly open up more new properties and applications, and form a new field of functional polymers and intelligent materials. The excellent properties of polymer wax can provide good physical and chemical properties for the development of new products, and more series of waxes will be available to meet the requirements of various fields such as inks, coatings, finishing agents, etc. China's polymer wax industry will also go to the world.
